You can order Online imagery from the Image Menu.

The Order Image panel for online image ordering.

  1. Select Imagery. The Imagery panel opens.

  2. From the Imagery Catalog drop-down, select Online Imagery.

  3. On the image you want to order, select the Image Menu menu, three vertical dots, then select Order Image.

    The Order Image panel opens.

If you want to view the image's metadata before placing an order, select the Image Details button. Select Close to return to the ordering panel.

  4. (Optional) In the Order Name field, enter a new name for the order.

The Order Name field is automatically populated based on imagery parameters. You may want to enter a new, unique name to make your order more easily identifiable in the Orders panel.

  5. Complete each section to define your order.

  6. Select Order Image.

  7. In the confirmation dialog, check that the order looks correct, then select Place Order.

  8. After placing the order, a final confirmation displays your order ID, order name, order date, your order's options, and the total number of credits charged. Select Place Order to finish placing your order or Cancel to make edits.

Track an order's status and download completed orders in the Orders panel. Orders expire after two weeks. See Orders.

More About Ordering Online Imagery

  • When you zoom to the extent of the image you want to order, other imagery is hidden from the viewport.

  • All online orders are delivered as GeoTIFF files in a ZIP file.

  • Ordered imagery is available for two weeks. After two weeks, the order is moved to "archived" status. If you re-download your order, you will not be charged again. However, reordering the same base image (i.e., creating a new order) will result in a separate charge.

Downloading an archived image, while free, may take longer than downloading a fresh order, as the image artifacts need to be unarchived before they can be downloaded.

Archived status is not the same as archive imagery.

  • If you want to delete a location from the Saved Locations drop-down, select Delete delete. A confirmation dialog asks you if you want to delete the saved location. To delete the location, select Delete Saved Location. Otherwise, select Cancel.

Deleting a saved location is permanent. You cannot recover a deleted location; if you want to use a deleted location again, you will need to recreate it.
