Using the Workbench
The Workbench is a toolbar that consolidates map interaction tools (e.g., annotations, area creation, measurement) into a single, organized location. The Workbench groups related tools and simplifies hierarchy. Your last-used tool remains active until you turn it off.

Some tools (e.g., creating areas) may still be accessible in multiple contexts (e.g., both Workbench and relevant panels) to support different user workflows.

From the Workbench, select the tool you want to use. A drop-down menu may display, depending on the tool selected.

To exit the active tool, select the cursor
, select the active tool again to turn it off, or press ESC.
